Hi! Welcome to the TAS Writing Services website. I’m Tim Schreyer, the owner and author of this website.
I am a freelance writer who has been passionate about technology since, well, from birth, I suppose. At least that’s what my parents tell me. As a kid, I was always drawing pictures of the things I would invent when I grow up.
A Little About My Life as an Inventor
I fell in love with electronics, computers, and ham radio when I was a teenager, so my obvious path was to become an electrical engineer. I received my Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and became a system engineer for Intel Corporation. As a system engineer, I worked closely with other electrical engineers who, like me, specialized in signal integrity for digital signals. I also worked closely with computer architects who removed speed-killing delays from microprocessor systems, mechanical engineers who designed heatsinks and cooling systems for personal computers, VLSI engineers who designed the microprocessors and other integrated circuits that Intel sells, and support engineers who helped Intel’s business partners fine-tune their computer designs.
I loved it. And I loved developing new technologies. But my real ambition was to build small businesses.
So now I’m a writer and marketer who helps other inventors build their businesses.
Being a writer means I’m not as close to technology development as I was, and I miss that. But it also means I can be involved with many more technologies simultaneously. It is an opportunity to continue researching and learning!
I love it! I love helping companies explain their offerings in ways that everybody can understand. I love helping them find new customers. I love helping them help their customers. And I love helping them use new technologies to grow their markets.
Marketing Has Changed, and Industry Needs To Keep Up
The internet has created new ways to market your business. Many businesses, especially those in computer industries like SAAS and those that make heavy use of social media, are already familiar with these techniques and are using them profitably. But there are other industries that are just starting to use these methods. If you are just getting started with Internet Marketing, the tactics might seem confusing and intimidating to you.
And that’s why I’m here. I’ll help you use the internet to automate the way you market your business.
Now is the Perfect Time to Use Technology To Sell Technology
So here is the great thing about Internet Marketing. It automates most of your sales processes. No more cold-calling to people who have never heard of you.
One of the strategies that works best for industrial companies (also called B2B) is to let leads come to you, and then nurture them for a long time (perhaps several months) until they are ready to buy. Normally, this would force you to dedicate a lot of human resources to activities that aren’t generating any revenue. But with the internet, you can automate the “lead-nurturing” process, using your website and other computer tools to put the entire process on auto-pilot. Your sales specialists can spend their time receiving, rather than making, calls from leads that are ready to purchase!
Internet Marketing can show your products and services in places where your best target customers are looking, and it can wait patiently until they call you. I’ll help you use your website, blog, funnels, Facebook and LinkedIn advertising, and other devices to attract the hottest leads, while software tools do the part that your staff never enjoyed anyway!
Please have a look at my Services, Portfolio, and Resume pages so you can decide if I have what it takes to help you get your business noticed. And if you’re ready to give this a try, please send a quick “let’s chat” using my Contact page.
All the best,
